Programs

The Table Mountain Ski Club offers multiple programs to our members to accommodate a variety of ages, skills, and time commitments.

Each registration cost includes:

  • Race fees and lift passes for in-province races
  • Coaching costs

Please note that athletes are responsible for:

  • Lift passes, equipment, and transportation while training at Table Mountain.
  • Accommodations and travel for both in-province and out-of-province events.
  • Lift passes at out of province training and races, any additional costs will be detailed with the specific training/racing opportunity announcement.
 

Alpine Canada (ACA)/SaskAlpine Registration Options & Pricing

Each athlete must be registered with ACA and SaskAlpine to complete and train with the Table Mountain Ski Club

  • Entry Level registration provides U6, U8, U10  athletes with the eligibilty to attend in-province events
  • In-province registration provides U12+ athletes with the eligibility to attend in-province events
  • National registration provides U12+ athletes with the eligibility to attend both in-province and out of province events, including the scheduled SaskAlpine race in Kimberly, B.C.in February 2024. National registrations are only available for U12 and up athletes.

Snow Stars is our beginning step for most young skiers. Snow Stars is a half-day program that introduces skiing and will develop a new skier’s skill level and confidence.  Lessons are 2 hours on Saturdays, either from 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm. While a parent/adult is required for children 4 years of age and for children that are not able to load the chairlift independently, all parents are welcome to participate with their children in this program.

Snow Stars athletes can participate in 2 or 3 provincial race events between January and March and will have the option to attend the club’s February mountain training trip at additional costs.

Snow Stars costs:

  • $215 Table Mountain Ski Club registration fee
  • $67 ACA/SaskAlpine Entry Level registration fee
  • $100 raffle ticket deposit (is reimbursed when SK alpine raffle tickets are sold)
  • $50 ACA family insurance fee (only payable once per family)

The Nancy Greene Ski League is a full-day program for skiers with basic skills that runs

Saturdays from 10am – 3pm. The focus is on learning to be a solid technical skier with an emphasis on race-specific skills.
Nancy Greene athletes can participate in 2 or 3 provincial race events between January and March and will have the option to attend the club’s February mountain training trip at additional costs.

Nancy Greene cost:

  • $350 Table Mountain Ski Club registration fee
  • $67 ACA/SaskAlpine Entry Level registration fee
  • $100 raffle ticket deposit (is reimbursed when SK Alpine raffle tickets are sold)
  • $50 ACA family insurance fee (only payable once per family)

The U12 recreational program consists of one full day of training on Saturdays. Athlete development will focus on gate training assisting athletes to move to a more technical slalom course. The 1-day program will train with the 2-day competitive program but is geared towards athletes who are not able to commit to the 2-day program.

U12 recreational athletes can race at 2 or 3 Sask Cup races, 2 or 3 Nancy Greene festivals and may choose to enter several out of province races during the year. All athletes who choose to compete in out of province races must have a national ACA membership. In addition, athletes will have the option to attend the November All-Sask Camp and the club’s February mountain training trip at additional costs.

  • $108.50 ACA/SaskAlpine In-province registration fee or $205.75 ACA/SaskAlpine National registration fee
  • $100 raffle ticket deposit (is reimbursed when SK Alpine raffle tickets are sold)
  • $50 ACA family insurance fee (only payable once per family)

  • $50 ACA family insurance fee (only payable once per family)

The U14+ program is a competitive program that consists of two full days of training on Saturdays and Sundays. This program is geared towards experienced skiers in the U14 to U21 age categories. Athletes are trained in 4 disciplines: slalom, giant slalom, super G and ski cross. The super G training is optional for athletes in the U16+ category and is conducted at mountain camps in conjunction with Saskatchewan Alpine.

The Table Mountain Alpine Race Team works in close conjunction with Sask Alpine to provide multiple opportunities throughout the season for the athletes to train and race in the mountains.

Athletes are encouraged to attend the November All-Sask camp and will also have the option to attend the club’s February mountain training trip at additional costs.
